Merryl S. Haber
Merryl S. Haber is an experienced attorney admitted to the California and Florida Bars. She began her legal career in California, handling general civil litigation, including contracts, construction, Workers’ Compensation, and Personal Injury. After relocating to Florida, she joined a boutique firm specializing in the defense of Maritime, general liability, professional liability, and insurance coverage in state and federal courts. Merryl later managed a prominent plaintiff personal injury firm’s Boca Raton office, securing significant verdicts, including a $5.3 million award against a pain clinic operator.
Most recently, Merryl served as House Counsel in Broward, Orange and Duval counties for one of Florida’s largest insurance companies. An “AV”-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, she is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Mediator. Her extensive practice areas include maritime law, personal injury, premises liability, professional liability, and insurance coverage, among others. Merryl has tried cases across Florida and represented clients in arbitrations and mediations. A dedicated community leader, she has held numerous positions in voluntary bar associations and civic organizations.

Rates:
$400/hour
Minimum Fees:
- Half-Day: 2 Hour minimum
- Full Day: 4 Hour minimum
- We charge a $50 administrative fee Per Party
Cancellation Policy:
Mediations or arbitrations cancelled more than 14 days in advance incur no cancellation fee. Due to the difficulty of scheduling on short notice, appointments cancelled less than 14 days in advance incur the minimum charge above. We will work hard to fill that time, however, and if another mediation is scheduled, then you will not be charged. We encourage the parties to use the reserved time for another matter.
Travel:
Due to the convenience and efficiency of Zoom, all in-person mediations are assessed a travel fee (portal to portal) charged at 50% of the hourly rate. Please confirm in person appointments with our office before scheduling (we will place a hold) so that we can confirm that the Neutral is available to travel that day.
